The reality star and rapper share four children, North, 9; Saints, 7; Chicago, 4; and Psalms, 3, while they were together.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye on February 19, 2021, after six years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation at the time. The couple finalized their divorce in November 2022.

During her appearance on the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast, Kim opened up about raising her children North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3, with ex-husband Kanye.
She shared that it’s hard to co-parent with Kanye because of his online social media antics, which have gotten him in trouble several times.
“Co-parenting is hard,” the reality star said bluntly while talking to her host on Monday’s episode, per Page Six. “It’s really hard.”
The couple have been co-parenting the quartet since the reality star filed for divorce in the first quarter of 2021. Following the filing, Kim and Kanye engaged in protracted legal proceedings to finalize the divorce, which ended in November 2022.
During the time it took for the courts to decide the divorce, Kanye made separate headlines for all the wrong reasons. The most explosive incident was the flood of anti-Semitic attacks a few months ago that got him banned from most social media sites.

Kanye’s anti-semitic attitude has weighed heavily on Kim even as she tries to protect her children from their father’s ongoing problematic behavior.
During the podcast, she shared her reasons for keeping her children out of conversations about their father, explaining she wants them to experience their father only with good memories.
“I have the best father[Robert]and I have the best memories and the greatest experiences, and that’s all I want for my children as long as they can have them,” he said, per Page Six.
Kim added, “That’s what I want for them. If they don’t know what’s being said or what’s going on in the world, why would I bring that energy to them? That’s heavy adult s–t that they’re not ready to deal with.”

When his children eventually ask about their father’s public transgressions, the Skims founder claims he will be “very willing” to answer their questions. However, he plans to keep them out of the loop.
“One day, my kids will thank me for sitting here and not insulting their dad when I could,” Kim said. “Everyone is crazy. They will thank me, and I will personally answer whatever they want to know. It’s not my place anymore to jump in.”
Despite his determination to keep his decision, the star of “The Kardashians” found it almost impossible to keep it because Kanye often added new misconduct to the previous one.
“I will definitely protect it, and I will still be in my children’s eyes for my children. In my house, my children do not know anything that happens in the outside world … I am hanging on by a thread,” she admitted.

Kim’s candid talk about parenting comes nearly a month after an insider revealed that the mother-of-four is determined to keep her ex-husband active in their children’s lives.
