Longchamp, the French luxury brand, has announced that Korean singer and actress Kim Se-Jeong will be its Asian ambassador. This is the first time a Korean celebrity has been chosen as the worldwide spokesperson for the company.
The Longchamp Spring/Summer 2023 campaign, starring Kim Se-Jeong, will debut in Asia in mid-February 2023. The campaign images were shot in Seoul and overseen by creative director Sophie Delafontaine. In the campaign, Se-Jeong wears key items from the brand’s ready-to-wear collection, which features bold combinations of colors, patterns and materials. Signature Longchamp bags, such as the new Box-Trot in natural canvas, leather and brilliant candy pink, complete this outfit.

The general manager of Longchamp Singapore and Malaysia, Mollie Jean De Dieu issued a welcome speech for the actress, introducing her as their new ambassador. The manager said in the post:
“We are delighted to welcome the actress, singer and star of the South Korean rom-com series Business Proposal.”
He continued to express his confidence in Se-Jeong as the best candidate for Longchamp.
“Kim is not just another “face” but someone we believe truly understands and connects with the brand.
The manager described his interaction with Se-jeong in the article, as well as how the actor felt that this relationship would benefit the firm and the actress. According to the Business Proposal star,
“The fact that Longchamp and I have a lot in common means that I feel happy, rather than depressed. It is an honor to work with Longchamp, which epitomizes Parisian flair, and I believe we can maximize our relationship by playing to our strengths and similarities.”
Longchamp entered the Korean wave, with Kim Se-Jeong as their agent, according to netizens.
To commemorate the news, Longchamp revealed a picture of Kim Se-marketing jeong. The pictures show the actress wearing a variety of premium bags from the brand. Fans were very happy to see the actress turned Longchamp spokeswoman. Longchamp praised the former IOI member for his “warm and bright face” and “dynamic and true image,” which they think is in line with the brand’s design principles. Her performance in the successful SBS drama Business Proposal, for which she earned many honors, including the AAA Best Actor Award, the DCM Popularity Award, and the SBS Drama Award for Best Actress, was also highlighted by the brand.

Kim Se-jeong rose to fame after participating in Mnet’s Produce 101 and subsequently as a member of the girl group IOI After her contract with the girl group ended, she joined another Jellyfish Entertainment girl group called Gugudan, which split in 2020. She made her acting debut in 2016 and since that worked as a solo artist and actor in several popular dramas such as School 2017, The Uncanny Encounter, Today’s Webtoon, and Business Proposal.
