Plans are well underway for King Charles’s Coronation coming up in less than three months, and he has a number of suggestions, particularly regarding which singers will perform at the event.
Unsurprisingly, the king placed two top music stars, Adele and Ed Sheeran, at the top of his list, given their births. However, both refused to perform at the event, much to the dismay of the Royal family.
King Charles III Upset By Adele And Ed Sheeran’s Refusal To Perform At His Coronation

King Charles’ coronation is expected to take place on May 6, followed by a concert the following day, which should include big names in the music industry, Adele and Ed Sheeran.
A source revealed that “The King has suggested a number of people he would like to perform, and Adele and Ed are on that list. He is very keen that they are part of the concert.”
Unfortunately, both stars declined the invitation, with Sheeran giving a plausible reason while Adele declined “without explanation.” According to Marie Claire, the “Shivers” singer will be performing in Texas the day before the Coronation concert, making it challenging to fit everything in.
On the other hand, Adele does not appear to have any conflicting events scheduled for May 7th, and she is not booked for public performances after March 25th.
The informant shared, “There was a team set up to get the talent registered, so they approached the two of them but got a reply saying they were not available. They are giants in the showbiz industry. And quintessentially British but also known around the world. Very humiliating.”
As for other performers at the Coronation concert, there is no confirmation yet, except that Lionel Richie and the Spice Girls may perform. Speculation has also arisen about Harry Styles’ performance.
Also, regarding the invitation, there is still no RSVP from Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, as The Daily Mail reports that the two are still undecided. Harry reportedly wants to meet his father and brother, Prince William, before the ceremony. Thankfully, the Sussexes still have more than a month to come to a conclusion, as RSVPs are expected in early April.

About the Possible Performance of the Spice Girls at the Coronation
While fans may be disappointed by Adele and Sheeran’s absence from the event, they will likely see the Spice Girls reunite and perform for the first time in over a decade. The female group that greatly influenced the world with their music in the nineties performed their last performance as a group during the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics.
As The Blast reports, Royal promoters are reportedly interested in including the group as a “star signing” for the Coronation concert, and the ladies are “seriously considering” being featured.
Melanie Brown’ Mel B,’ Melanie Chrisholm’ Mel C,’ Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham, who all make up the group, will mark a milestone with their performance because “the Coronation is as special as the Olympics.”
Meanwhile, Mel B and Mel C are reportedly aiming to make the show a reality by trying to convince their co-stars to take part. Shortly before that, Mel C revealed that the group was unhappy about not performing at Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert last June, given their involvement with “family and other commitments and responsibilities.”
In a more recent interview, Mel B hinted that the Coronation concert will feature all five OG members, a project they are “very excited about.”

The King of the United Kingdom Wants His Second Child Back in the Family Ahead of Coronation
Prince Harry’s possible absence from the King’s upcoming coronation seems to worry the 74-year-old as he wants him “back in the family,” possibly before the ceremony.
According to reports, an insider revealed, “it’s a very important event for Charles, and he wants his son to be at the coronation to witness it. He wants Harry back in the family.”
Fans will remember Harry’s controversial book “Spare,” released earlier this year, which detailed scandalous elements about the Royals. This reportedly prompted the King to resolve family issues.
Royal sources believe that if things are not resolved between Charles and Harry, it will “always be part of the King’s reign” in addition to his reputation as a “distant parent”.
