Corruption charges against Kiran Gosavi
After the cruise ship raid, Kiran Gosavi has disappeared from the city and she is nowhere to be seen. However, his former bodyguard and driver Prabhakar Sail came forward with a statement in which he had accused Kiran Gosavi of accepting a bribe of Rs. 25 crores. In the video, Sail said he heard Gosavi talking to a man named Sam D’Souza and they also met Shah Rukh Khan’s manager in the corruption case. The money was offered to help free Aryan Khan from police custody. He narrated the whole incident saying-

KP Gosavi called me at 1 am to tell me that I must sign as pancha. Sameer Wankhede instructed me to sign my signature. An NCB teller told me to sign 10 blank papers. Salekar asked my Aadhar details. I don’t have my Aadhar Card so I asked him if he can send a soft copy of my Aadhar Card from my mobile no 9137*** **99 to apa app no 8167609 712. He then asked me to eat and gave Suryavanshi a packet of food . After some time KP Gosavi came down and met Sam D’Souza 500m from NCB office. Sam’s shoes I talked to KP Gosavi about 5 minutes. After going around the NCB office, Sam D’Souza said that he and KP Gosavi got out of the car and met again. KP Gosavi then left the Innova white Innova, and Sam D’Souza Innova crysta accompanied us. We stopped at Lower Parel Bridge, near Big Bazaar. Others also stop at this location. We arrived at lower Parel KP Gosavi when Sam called. Sam said that you have planted a bomb worth 25 million rupees and let us finish on the 18th, because it has to cross to Sameer Wakhede.”
Political intervention with questions
After Kiran Gosavi’s video and photo with Aryan Khan went viral on the internet, Nationalist Congress Party politician Nawab Malik started raising questions about how a common man could be involved in such a high-profile case. He asked about Gosavi’s connection with the case and his connection with Sameer Wankhede; he also questioned the credibility of Sameer Wankhede and said that he made big celebrities his targets. He asked the Maharashtra Government to open an inquiry against Sameer Wankhede.

From Kiran Gosavi’s appearance to being arrested
Kiran Gosavi disappeared after October 2, 2021 despite being a key witness in the case. When the leaders and the police got suspicious, a private investigator’s background check was conducted and the police found that Gosavi had four previous FIRs against him for stealing money from people who had scammed companies offering jobs. In the FIR, he was accused of stealing lakhs from people, a person named Chinmay Deshmukh filed a complaint against him in 2018 for taking Rs. 3.09 lakh from him and Gosavi assured that he will find a job for him in Malaysia. He gave Deshmukh a fake visa and flight ticket as well, and then he disappeared from the radar.
On 25 October 2021, an NDTV reporter contacted Gosavi and he told the reporter that he had planned to surrender himself to the Lucknow Police as he felt unsafe in Maharashtra. The reporter further questioned him about the FIR and the Rs. 25 crore demand for Aryan Khan’s bail. In response to this, Gosavi said-
I heard this for the first time. I met Sameer Wankhede for the first time on October 2.”
However, the Lucknow Police rejected her request saying that the FIR has been filed in Pune, Maharashtra and they cannot accept Kiran Gosavi’s surrender as they have no jurisdiction to take any action against her. On 28 October 2021, the Pune Police made a press release stating that they had arrested Kiran Gosavi in connection with a 2018 fraud case he had committed under his company name KPG Dreamz Solutions. The police also added that they are conducting a detailed investigation into the scam as well as its connection with NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede.
