Kishore Kumar G is an Indian actor and producer who mostly appears in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. He gained recognition for portraying Veerappan in the Kannada film Attahasa in 2013.

Lecturer
Before pursuing his career in acting, Kishore worked as a lecturer for Kannada literature at Sharda College in Bengaluru, where he served for two years. In an interview, Kishore revealed that his teaching approach was not liked by the college faculty and said,
I believe you don’t have to teach literature; you discuss it and see it from a different perspective. Of course, the management did not appreciate my approach, and at that time I produced two films. I stopped before they could throw me out.”
Assistant Fashion Designer
Kishore left his job as a lecturer and started working as an assistant to fashion designer Vidyasagar, who was a professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

In 2004, Kishore made his acting debut with the Kannada film Kanti in which he played the role of Beera.
In 2006, Kishore made his Telugu debut with the film Happy in which he played the role of ACP Rathnam.
In 2007, he made his Tamil debut with the film Polladhavan as Selvam.
In 2012, Kishore made his Malayalam debut with the film Thiruvambadi Thamban in which he played the role of Shakthivel.

Facts/Trivia
- In an interview, Kishore recalled his school days, when he performed for the first time in a school play and said,
My first attempt at acting was in a school play when I was 11 years old. I studied at St Teresa’s School in Kunigal. One of my teachers, Josephine, who really liked me, forced me to act in a play. He chose me because I was good at memorizing lines (my memorization also kept me among the top four ranks in the class). In the drama, I played the role of a marriage broker, who had to use cunning means to fix a marriage.”
- While studying at the National College in Bengaluru, Kishore participated in various stage plays such as Teregalu and Samrat Ashoka.
- Before starting his career as an actor, Kishore worked as a salesman for newspapers like Deccan Herald and Prajavani.
- Kishore owns a farm at Kari Kaadu Thota, near Bannerghatta Biological Park in Bengaluru, where he practices organic farming with his wife. In an interview, Kishore revealed that during the lockdown amid Covid-19, he spent his time farming and said,
I spent my time in confinement devoting myself entirely to agriculture. Not much is carefully planned, because I’m trying to understand what grows well there. We, however, tried our hand at growing green gram, cowpea, paddy and ragi, among others.
- According to Kishore, if he had not become an actor, he would have been a farmer or a writer. In an interview, he spoke about his interest in agriculture and literature and said,
If I wasn’t acting, I would be farming, which I still do. I have a passion for literature, so my passion is writing, currently I am also writing a film with a friend of mine.
