He excelled in academics and had an interest in acting since childhood. When Shahane was in 9th standard, she got a chance to perform in the folk ballet “Durga Zhaali Gauri.” After that moment he decided to become an actor. Gradually, he began to play professionally. When Kishori was in 11th standard, she was offered a role in the Marathi film “Prem Karuya Khullam Khulla” along with Ashok Saraf and (Late) Laxmikant Berde. Kishori Shahane started her acting career in 1987 with the Marathi film “Prem Karuya Khullam Khulla.” However, he rose to fame with “Maherchi Sadi” and “Wajva Re Wajva.” His performances in plays like “Moruchi Maushi” (Marathi) and “Aadhe Adhure” (Hindi), earned him recognition and established him as an actor. In 2003, she participated in the Miss Gladrags Beauty pageant and emerged as the runner-up of the show.
