Kranti Redkar is an Indian actress, singer and filmmaker who works in theatre, television and Marathi films. He is famous for the Marathi song “Kombdi Palali” from the movie ‘Jatra.’

Career
Kranti made her debut with the Marathi film “Soon Asavi Ashi” (2000) starring Ankush Choudhary. Later, she was seen in Prakash Jha’s Hindi film “Gangaajal” (2003) with Ajay Devgan in which she played an important role as a kidnapped girl named Apoorva. She is best known for her hit Marathi song “Kombdi Palali” opposite Bharat Jadhav in the Marathi film “Jatra” (2006). He was later seen in “Shahanpan Dega Deva,” “No Entry Pudhe Dhoka Aahey,” “Pipani,” and “Karaar.”
In 2014, he marked his directorial debut with the film “KAAKAN” starring Jitendra Joshi and Urmila Kanitkar. In addition to acting and directing, Kranti has also tried singing. He lent his voice for the song “Lootla” from the Marathi movie ‘kiran kulkarni vs kiran kulkarni.’
In 2019, he appeared in the movie “Rocky” and played the role of a police officer.
Controversy
In 2013, Kranti’s name came up in the IPL match-fixing controversy involving Sreeshant who was later banned for life for his role in match-fixing. Kranti’s name was flashed by a local Hindi news channel in this case. According to the channel, Kranti met a man named Sunil who introduced her to Sreeshant at a fix-up party. However, the actress denied the allegations against her and said,
I am currently shooting in Kudal for my upcoming film ‘Kaakan’. How can I attend the event they are talking about?”
