Kristen Bell Lets Daughters Have Non-Alcoholic Beer But There’s Context

Actress Kristen Bell admits she lets her daughters drink non-alcoholic beer because they like it, but there’s a story behind it.

Bell revealed this kooky detail on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and it was sure to get a few laughs, as she revealed the sweet reason behind why her girls love beer without booze.

43-year-old Kristen Bell appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” recently and told a rather sweet anecdote. The “Good Place” actress told Kelly Clarkson, 41, that she allows her two daughters to drink non-alcoholic beer.

Although Bell admits that it sounds a little “crazy” he emphasizes that “context is important.” Her husband, Dax Shepard, 48, is a recovering addict but loves the taste of non-alcoholic beer. They share two girls, Delta, 8, and Lincoln, 9 who seem to share their dad’s love of the drink for sweet reasons.

Bell explained, “He’s a recovering addict but he likes beer not alcohol, so he’ll open it. He will have [our oldest daughter] on his chest, and we will walk and watch the sunset. As a baby, he pawed at it, and sometimes he sucked on the edge. So I think he feels something special, something father, something family.” Bell explains that this drink contains absolutely no alcohol and because they are easy for her children to have at home, they don’t ask for it at restaurants either.

Said the actress, “We were at a restaurant where he said, ‘Do you have non-alcoholic beer?’ And I was like, maybe we’ll just save it for home time.” But then she admitted she rejected him, saying again, “But I’m like, you can judge me if you want, I didn’t do anything wrong. That’s your problem.”

Meanwhile, Bell has big news for her fans, as the “Frozen” actress has just been inducted into the Disney Legends. The good news is that Bell will receive a special Disney pin which is a big deal, and he hopes this will lead him to the elusive Club 33, which is the only place in Disneyland that serves alcohol. This is true until the opening of Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Club 33 is another Walt Disney baby that was inspired by the executive lounge at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, and subsequently opened the club in 1967. Since then it has held an aura of mystery and legend among Disneyland Park guests.

There is a $25,000 upfront fee, and then a $10,000 annual bill but the waiting list is years long. Bell hopes his Disney Pin will earn him admission, but then again, he could be wrong. Of course, members could invite him in but he would still be barred from the exclusive lounge. Bell admits he won’t pay even though…

He can hope, just like Anna!
