Hollywood star Kristen Stewart has opened up about her upcoming film, “Love Lies Bleeding.”
In a new interview, she shared that the romantic thriller, featuring lesbian love, will feature “surprising” intimate scenes.
Stewart also mentioned that she was happy that her character was portrayed more masculine, adding that she found it “very sexy.”

Stewart has revealed that her upcoming lesbian thriller, “Love Lies Bleeding,” will be anything but ordinary.
The film is currently in post-production and is slated for a theatrical release in March this year.
Talk with Diversitythe British Academy Film Award winner shared that the LGBTQ+ romance film will “surprise” audiences with the nature of its intimate scenes, showcasing a different style compared to the “memorized” approach taken in typical romantic films.
“They don’t take their clothes off, but this will shock people,” the “Charlie’s Angel” star said of the film.
She added, “All you ever see are dresses coming up and heads down. I think even the hetero s– in the movies are so rote… Nobody really wants to expose themselves.”
All About ‘Love Lies Bleeding’
Stewart stars in the film as one of the main characters, Lou, and his romance with co-star Katy O’Brian (Jackie) will take center stage.
“Closed gym manager Lou has a crush on Jackie, an aspiring bodybuilder heading across town to Vegas to pursue his dreams. But their love sparks violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s crime family,” reads the film’s synopsis.
“Love Lies Bleeding” also features some big stars, including Dave Franco, The Hunger Games’ Jena Malone and Anna Baryshnikov. It was directed by Rose Glass (Saint Maud) and co-written by her and Weronika Tofilska.
Film4 partnered with the filmmaker to develop the project and co-finance it with A24, which is responsible for producing and managing the film’s global release. Andrea Cornwell features in the project as a producer for Lobo Films, while Oliver Kassman represents Escape Plan Productions.

“Love Lies Bleeding” will also see Stewart’s character portrayed as more masculine, in contrast to the traditionally feminine roles she has been known for since she began her career in the film industry.
According to the actress, she found this deviation from the norm to be “very sexy” and “turned on by it.”
He told various, “There’s something about having things that I find interesting really glorifying. It’s really sexy, and I don’t mean from an outsider’s point of view: I feel turned on by it, and it’s fun when people watch it.”
Collaborating with Glass on the film appears to be a dream come true for Stewart, as he previously expressed his admiration for the director in an interview prior to the start of production.
“He’s a uniquely visionary artist,” Stewart said at the time, according to Playlist.
He added of Glass, “A little bit of a weirdo, crazy, psycho — has a lot to say, is really going to change things for us. And I’m really excited to get to know him.”

As for the actress’ love life, she is currently engaged to Dylan Meyer, son of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, per People magazine.
The two initially met on a film set in 2013, and they later reconnected a few years later through mutual friends.
“I met him years ago in a movie, and I hadn’t seen him in six years, and then he rocked up at a friend’s birthday party, and I was like, ‘Where are you, and how did I not recognize you?’ He’s been living in LA alongside my life somehow but never got together,” Stewart recalled of their meeting during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” in November 2019.
Since confirming their relationship in 2019, Stewart and Dylan have showcased their romance on Instagram, posting sweet tributes to each other. The two have also attended events together and enjoy going out with their friends.
Outside of their romance, Stewart and Dylan also share a working relationship, as the former once revealed that they worked on a TV show together and wrote movie scripts.
