Kristin Cavallari got fans interested when she revealed her diet in an in-depth interview in 2023. Talking about the butter and meat she happily eats, the reality star likely got fans talking given her slender frame, although she made headlines in 2022 for revealing a little weight gain.

Putting on muscle that year as she got healthier, Kristin ended up making more headlines for saying that she was happier when she weighed less, but everyone still wanted to know what she was eating. The Laguna Beach favorite has shared exactly what’s on her plate, including her food thoughts.

What to eat if you want to lose weight

For Kirstin, the cycle of self-starvation and eventual overeating is not conducive to anything.

“So I think the most important thing is that you actually have to eat food,” she told her social media fans. “There’s a misconception that if you don’t eat a lot of food, you’re going to be skinny. I think it’s the other way around. I think you have to really work on your metabolism.” Here, the podcast host opens up to reveal what his first meal of the day usually looks like. “For breakfast, I’ll make a smoothie. I’ll make eggs with sauteed spinach or arugula or something, goat cheese, maybe avocado. Or I’ll make like overnight oats or something,” she shared.

Eat Butter And Bacon

Last fall, Kristin shared more about her diet, also extending food mentions to the three children she’s raising.

“We eat butter, bacon, as long as it’s real, without additives. Grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish, pasture-raised eggs, even raw milk and yogurt are staples in my house,” shares Uncommon founder James. Kristin, in 2022, dares to take a side-by-side photo showing her former, more skinny, then shared a butt-baring bikini shot while showing off her toned glutes and legs to reveal she’s packed on a few pounds.

Pumping That Iron

It’s not all eating for Kristin, though, that keeps her burning calories. Lifting weights, which increases your Basal Metabolic Rate, means you can burn more calories at rest. Simply put, muscle burns more than fat. So the more muscle you have, the more energy your body goes through.

“I lift weights with a trainer three times a week and do hot yoga one day a week. When I work out, everything fits and my energy is at its best, so that kind of feeling keeps me on track,” she shared.

Love the Big Salad

Kristin makes sure her diet is full of healthy and nutritious vegetables. He always makes sure that his lunch salad has protein in it and likes a Cobb salad or a Greek salad. He even uses leftovers for protein!
