The caption read, “Today marks one year alcohol free for me. A few things made me come to the conclusion that I don’t want to drink.”
He continued, “First of all, I didn’t feel like it had the place I wanted it to. I listened to my heart, and the message was clear to me. I know it no longer serves me (no pun intended) physically, mentally, or spiritually. I never put a time frame on when I would drink again or said IF I would.”
Richards further wrote about how her sobriety journey has helped her become “clearer mentally.” She shared that it has also helped overcome her alcohol anxiety and that although her decision was met with “resistance”, she cannot succumb to “peer pressure.”

Richards and Umansky addressed their divorce rumors in a July 4 Instagram post. In the statement, they denied divorcing but admitted they had had a “difficult year.”
It read, “Regarding the news that came out about us Today… Any claims about us getting divorced are untrue. However, yes, we have had a difficult year. The most challenging of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other very much. There is no fault on anyone’s part.”
The couple further requested privacy from their fans and followers to let them resolve their issues in private. They wrote, “While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not invent false stories to fit further lewd narratives.”
