Now, the athlete took another blow with Nike dropping him.
“Kyrie Irving is no longer a Nike athlete, a Nike spokesperson said. The two sides parted ways a month after Nike suspended its relationship with the Nets star. Irving has one of the most popular signature shoes in the NBA and is currently a shoe free agent.”

Nike’s confirmation of the news left Irving’s followers feeling not only about Nike’s side but also how Irving was treated, regardless of his apology.
“They terminated the contract immediately, they planned to release the Kyrie 9 before the end of the deal – that has now been removed,” said one fan.
Another added, “Putting this news on top of the original post is a great reflection of what companies like Nike think of their black athletes … Nike thinks it can replace Kyrie’s signature line with Ja. Kyrie has the best signature line big L for Nike.”
Some fans insisted that Irving should have done his due diligence.
