The singer shared the same photo of the two friends on her Instagram page, but with a lengthy caption expressing her anger at the unnecessary hateful comments on Mulvaney’s post.
“It appalls me that a post about National Women’s Day by Dylan Mulvaney and I will be met with hate and hatred. When I see the press reporting hate but calling it ‘backlash’, I think it’s important to make it clear that hate is hate, and hate like this is violence,” he wrote on Instagram. “‘Backlash’ would imply that people who love or respect Dylan and I don’t like something we do. This is not a reaction. This is hatred.”
Her warm caption went on to explain that society needs “great work” and “make room for transgender lives.”
“I feel very protective at this time, not only of Dylan, but of the trans community who continue to lead with their endless grace and inspiration in the face of constant degradation, intolerance and physical, verbal and mental violence,” she continued.”

She ended her caption by saying that “people of all gender and racial identities deserve peace and dignity.”
“I love people too much to allow hate to be referred to as ‘reaction’,” he wrote. “The people deserve better.”

While many of the comments had a hateful tone to them, there were some positive and grateful remarks left for the singer and what she stands for.
“I myself am non-binary. Reading this post really brought tears to my eyes, I have adored and loved you since I was 8 years old. I’m 25 years old now and this, THIS is why I look up to you and why I live my life authentically,” one fan wrote in a comment. “You and your music have saved my life and made me feel so safe and confident. Without you and your music, I think the darkness I once faced would still be with me now. But you helped me overcome the darkness. You are the light of my life, I really appreciate you Gaga.”
Another fan wrote, “Thank you for always standing up for what’s right.”
Mulvaney also shared his love for Lady Gaga’s writing in the comment, “You mean the world to me. Love you.”
This Is Not The First Time Hateful Comments Have Been Directed At Dylan Mulvaney On Social Media

Mulvaney has had his share of negativity on social media more than once. Just a few weeks ago, Mulvaney received negative comments on social media posts and decided to address them in a TikTok video.
“I’d pay someone to hit him with a car,” wrote someone named Nick on one of Mulvaney’s videos.
Mulvaney picked up on the comment and shared a story of strength.
“Hey Nick! I’m assuming by ‘it’ you mean me because you left this under my video,” she began her now-viral video. “But you gotta try again because I got hit by a car and I’m still here, b—-.”
Mulvaney went on to explain that he was mowed down by a car in 2019 while on his way to work at 4:30 a.m. at Penn Station in New York City.
“And I was walking in the crosswalk, barely, I just woke up and boom, hit by a car,” he continued. “Falled to the floor, the driver got out, are you okay?”
Mulvaney explained that he got up and went to work, booked a Broadway musical the following week and the rest is history.
“So you’re going to have to choose an even crazier method of transportation to get me down because,” he says before launching into the song. “I’m still standing, better than I’ve ever been.”
