Lala Kent has decided not to stay silent any longer as designer brands are starting to fall short of their customers’ expectations following recent scandals surrounding big names like Balenciaga and now Gucci!
Gucci’s promotional photos, instead of winning hearts, have sparked public outrage as they were shocked by the indecent representation of children’s accessories.
Although the controversy happened last month, Kent repeated the conversation and called out Gucci and their brand ambassador, Harry Styles.
Lala Kent Trashes And Calls Out Gucci & Harry Styles For Their Controversial Campaign
The “Vanderpump Rules” star recently slammed the Italian high-end fashion brand and criticized them and their ambassadors for their “sick” ads featuring children’s beds and teddy bear t-shirts.

Expressing her disgust via her Instagram Stories, the mother of one posted an image of Styles modeling for the latest “Gucci” ad. The English singer was seen wearing a white t-shirt featuring an angry pink teddy bear and a pair of oversized pleated trousers along with a green plaid flannel coat.
The “As It Was” singer accessorized her outfit by wearing a pair of sunglasses as she posed next to a child-sized mattress.
Addressing the controversial post, Kent began by writing, “I need to know what’s going on here. Why is there a children’s mattress in the photo? Explain yourself.”
Questioning the brand to justify the reason for their shoot, he added, “Bc [Sic] right now, you all look like you need a mental evaluation, and it’s too close to home for me to STFU.”
Focusing on the Redditch native, she wrote, “@harrystyles you are a clown. & I thought before this sick-ass campaign.” Ending his rant, he declared, “The world is dark… but you will not reach my son. Noooooope @gucci.”
On The ‘Ha Ha Ha’ Ad Campaign And Fan Reaction To The Promotion
The outrageous campaign, which continues to receive backlash around the world, is a project that began between Styles and the luxury brand after they announced their partnership in June for a menswear collection.

According to The Blast, the promotional post featuring the “Adore You” singer wearing a white T-shirt with a design of an angry pink teddy bear on it also features lyrics from Styles’ 2019 song “Watermelon Sugar.”
The lyrics printed on the shirt read, “I want more berries and that summer feeling.” The Kering-owned brand went on to caption the campaign photo, writing, “A performance piece starring Harry Styles and the Gucci collection HA HA HA.”
The brand’s website provides a more detailed explanation of the collection, revealing that it is the product of Style’s friendship with Alessandro Michele, a creative director.
The website reads, “Play is at the heart of the collection, which uses menswear as an avant-garde tool. Shot by Mark Borthwick, the series of images sees Harry Styles showcase a ‘dream wardrobe’ defined by his eccentric use of romantic accents, whimsical prints, vintage details and the individual’s expressive emotions.”
Fans, however, were not satisfied with the photo ad and criticized the post under the comment section of the luxury brand’s Instagram page. A curious fan asked, “Children’s and adult men’s mattresses – What stories are they selling”?
Another had the same thought process, writing, “Is this an ad for a children’s mattress? If not…. Why is a children’s mattress accompanied by a man in a fashion ad…… What are you trying to normalize.”
The third declared, “Unless she’s going to announce her pregnancy, nothing else can justify the Mattress. Don’t want to hear it”!!!!!!
Kent Also Overcomes Balenciaga’s Child Slavery Scandal

This isn’t the first time the “10 Minutes Gone” star has spoken out against brands that seem to incorporate children’s themes into their campaigns that have nothing to do with children.
As you know, Balenciaga caused an uproar last year after promoting a sensitive children’s ad that was likened to child pornography. Mentioning the high-end luxury fashion brand, the Utah native shared a screenshot of the gruesome ad on her Instagram Story.
Faced with the gruesome photo, Kent wrote, “I’m sure I’ll get shadow banned… again, for posting this – but I had to. I am proud not to own a piece of Balenciaga.” He went on to blast the brand for inappropriate ads and advised people to do better.
“You – we have to do better. Reject the darkness, find the light. The well-being of our world and innocent beings depend on it, urges the 32-year-old
It appears that Kering’s parent company, which co-owns luxury brands Balenciaga and Gucci, will spend much of its time cleaning up its dirty name and regaining the trust of its customers in 2023.
