Lala Kent Gushes Over Daughter Ocean’s Singing Voice: ‘Next Mariah Carey’

Lala Kent, born Lauren Elyse Burningham, is a proud mother to her adorable daughter Ocean Kent Emmett who she shares with ex Randall Emmett.

As baby Ocean grows rapidly, much to Lala’s amazement, the American reality star never fails to show the world how talented her little one is, once in the animal department and now in music!

Most recently, he took to his Instagram Stories to tell his followers about Ocean’s latest musical talent compared to the legendary Mariah Carey.

In the uploaded video, the two are captured in a car driven by the doting mother, with Ocean’s face not shown. The “Trauma Center” actor can be heard urging the children to start over and singing the popular nursery rhyme “Rock-a-bye Baby,” which he happily does.

Ocean seems to show tremendous potential even if he misses a few notes. However, his mother finally expressed her love for his singing prowess.

Confirming the youngster’s ability to become a future legend, the TV personality wrote in the post, “She’s going to be the next Mariah Carey. Mark my words.” While this may be the first time Lala has showcased her daughter’s musical potential, she did share how good the little one is at learning animal sounds.

Earlier, the Hollywood star dropped a lovely clip on social media of herself and Ocean dressed in pajamas and under the weather, but still enjoying learning.

He asks his son in the video, “What does a sheep say?” Ocean replied, “Baaaa.” Lala then asked, “What did a cow say?” “Mooo,” replied the smart kid, moving his head back and forth. Following the exercise, the 32-year-old celebrity asked, “What did the horse say?” and Ocean replied, “Nayyy.”

The brilliance was heartwarming as Lala sang the little girl’s praises, saying, “Nice. You’re really smart.” And in the caption, she wrote, “We were sick all weekend, but got this content…& I can’t.” Many of his followers, including celebrities, also shared the same opinion as they praised Ocean in the comments.

E! News reporter Erin Lim wrote, “I love her SM!!!! – good job, mama.” while Lala’s “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Kristen Doute exclaimed, “darling genius – I can’t do this!! Love you, O!!”

Likewise, comedian Heather McDonald called Ocean “so smart,” while another admirer noted, “Not just a little beauty but Smarty — oh, these moments are so precious!”

Lala is no doubt enjoying life with her mini-me even after breaking up with Randall almost two years ago after he was caught cheating with another woman in Nashville. Last October, she marked her first year out of her “toxic and unsafe” relationship by taking to social media with a candid post about her traumatic experience.

“Happy Independence Day to me,” said the “The Row” actor. “One year ago today, I had my ducks in a row, and it was time to execute my game plan to escape from a toxic and unsafe place.”

Late last year, Lala revealed she was ready to have a second child no matter what, which she told Scheana Shay on the “Scheananigans” podcast. As The Blast reported, she mentioned her desire to undergo intrauterine insemination (IUI), prompting her to seek a sperm donor instead of in vitro fertilization (IVF).

The Utah native chose the former because it was less messy and didn’t have strings attached because the sperm was injected directly into her uterus.

He said, “So since I’m good enough to go, I can just do the insemination process.” Despite her choice, she may still be in a serious relationship, but not anytime soon as she enjoys her motherhood journey.

Lala’s past with her ex made her realize there was “a good chance it wasn’t going to work out,” and she wasn’t taking any chances given her scarring experience.
