Movies had a strong influence on me from the very beginning. When a person steps into the teenage world, there are too many things on his mind. Being from a middle-class family, everyone from my family expected me to become a doctor or an engineer but these professions never appealed to me. When I thought seriously about acting and realized that I could do well in this field, I decided I must go for it so I started with theater in Delhi. Over time this interest became my interest. I learned a lot from theater and drama. I started acting at the age of 18 and started earning at the age of 22.

He started his career as an actor in the TV series, ‘Polis File’, where he played a negative character. Later, he appeared in various TV series, including ‘Virat’ (1997), ‘Jhoome Jiiya Re’ (2007), ‘Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des’ (2009), and ‘CID’ (2002). In 1997, he appeared in the superhit TV series, ‘Shaktimaan.’ He gained immense popularity with his character ‘Dr. Jackal’ in this TV series.
He started his career in Bollywood with the 1987 film ‘Nirmaan.’ He acted in many Hindi films, such as ‘Sanshodhan’ (1996), ‘Hum Tum Pe Marte Hain’ (1999), ‘Agent Vinod’ (2012), and ‘Haider’ (2014).
