Lana Del Rey revealed that her laptop and other devices were stolen from her a few months ago.
The singer shared that the items were taken from his car, which he parked on Melrose Place, Los Angeles, while leaving. Lana said the laptop had various unreleased songs, personal family recordings, and her upcoming book.
Despite the setback, the musician revealed he still intends to release new songs, including his upcoming ninth studio album. On October 21, his latest song with Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift, “Snow on the Beach,” will be released.

In recent Instagram Live, the 37-year-old shared that he lost his laptop along with several hard drives and a camcorder when his backpack was stolen from his car parked in an apartment community in Los Angeles County.
“A few months ago, I parked my car on Melrose Place, and I walked away for a while,” the singer shared in an Instagram Live video on Oct. 19.. “And one time I left my backpack in my car, someone broke all the windows and took it.”
Lana revealed many pieces of unpublished music, and her upcoming book were on the stolen device, adding that it had not been uploaded to the cloud. Although she later remotely deleted the files on her laptop, the singer said the perpetrators somehow found a way to access her phone.
“I had to remotely wipe the computer that had my 200-page book on Simon and Schuster—which I didn’t back up to the cloud,” Lana added. “Even so, people can still remotely access my phone and leak our private songs and photos.”

Despite the painful loss, the “Young and Beautiful” singer remains on track to release new music, including her ninth studio album. “LDR9.”

Lana said that the missing device would put her behind schedule and she might have to start spending more time on some existing projects.
The singer complained, “I think it’s important to say it’s a bit of a hindrance in terms of the creative process,” before adding that he doesn’t plan on leaving anything in his car anymore when he’s out and about.
