In the city of New Haven Connecticut, Larry Summers was born. He comes from a Jewish background. He is the son of economist Robert Summers and Anita Summers. Both have held academic positions at the University of Pennsylvania. Summers has two other nephews, Paul Samuelson (his father’s brother) and Kenneth Arrow (his mother’s brother). They are both Nobel laureates in economics. In Pennsylvania’s Penn Valley, Summers grew up. He went to Harriton High School to study.
