Tax charges filed against eldest son Hunter Biden in Southern California Thursday are “just the tip of the iceberg,” a Republican lawmaker declared Friday — adding that President Biden has lied “to the American people for 40 years.”
“This is part of the Biden family’s criminal enterprise…we need to continue to follow this,” Rep. Carlos Giménez (R-Fla.) told Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo about new allegations that Hunter Biden evaded more than $1 million in taxes while splashing out on sex workers and more over a four-year period.
The 53-year-old eldest son was charged with nine counts – including three felonies – in connection with what Special Counsel David Weiss called “a four-year scheme to avoid paying at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes.”
“It might be very difficult for him to show and try to explain where all this money came from, why all this money came to him, what is all this money for?” Giménez continued.
Rep. Carlos Gimenez appeared on Fox Business Friday morning.
“The more he talks, the more avenues will now be opened for additional investigations. I know we are only reaching the tip of the iceberg here. I think we haven’t reached the bottom yet,” he said.
If convicted of all charges, Hunter Biden faces up to 17 years in prison.
Giménez – who made headlines last week when he demanded answers about the “growing trend” of Chinese nationals entering the US illegally – continued to demand that Joe Biden come clean about his own allegations that his son’s ne’er- do-well business of buying and selling.

“I think Joe Biden is the brand. And the only reason Hunter Biden makes all this money that he has to avoid taxes is because his father is the vice president of the United States. [at the time],” explained Giménez.
“For Joe Biden to blatantly lie to the American people and say he doesn’t know what his son’s business interests are … we all know that’s a blatant lie,” he continued, citing sworn testimony that the elder Biden, 81, met with Hunter’s business partner “dozens of times”.
“The President of the United States has lied to the American people for 40 years. This is nothing new … this is what he did and what he has done for his entire political career,” Giménez scoffed.
Gimenez slammed President Joe Biden’s claims that he had nothing to do with Hunter’s business dealings. Hunter Biden faces up to 17 years in prison.
The indictment details how Hunter allegedly distributed “drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other personal items, in short, everything but his taxes,” documents seen by The Post show .
One particularly damning charge states that Hunter paid $27,000 to porn sites – which accounted for one-fifth of all expenses on that particular business’s line of credit.
The besieged eldest son has already dismissed three criminal charges related to false statements he made when buying firearms.
The new criminal case comes as members of the State Legislature prepare next week to authorize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden over corruption allegations.
