The Republican congressman from Colorado is seen on video footage walking out of a performance of “Beetlejuice” at the Buell Theater in Denver. According to NBC News, the incident happened on Sunday night, when the performance of the popular show was interrupted by his behavior.

Officials with Denver Arts & Venues wrote an incident report obtained by an NBC affiliate that did not name Boebert or his friend; however, they can be seen being escorted off the premises in surveillance footage that was later uploaded to YouTube.

In the video, you can see Boebert appear to give someone the middle finger as he and his friend are led down the aisle.

According to the report, the two were informed that their behavior – which involved “vaping, singing [and] causing a disturbance” – disturbs other attendees and is asked to stop. At least three complaints were made about their behavior before they were asked to leave the show.

Although they were not named in the incident report, his manager, Drew Sexton, confirmed that the incident occurred in a brief statement to NBC News.

“I can confirm an amazing and sad rumor: in her private time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed the weekend performance of Beetlejuice, which the Denver Post itself described as ‘zany’, ‘outrageous’, and ‘a delightful riot,’” Sexton wrote in a statement.

He went on to say he “appreciates the Buell Theater’s strict enforcement of their no-photo policy and only hopes that the Biden Administration will enforce our border laws thoroughly and vigorously.”

Although he was kicked out of the show, he claimed that he “highly encourages” everyone to see “Beetlejuice” and praised the “great cast, great visuals and lots of loud laughs.” He also delivered a “gentle reminder to leave their phones out of place.”
