Lauryn Hill has just revealed why she has officially postponed her Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill Anniversary Tour until early 2024.
In a statement released to The Blast, the singer mentioned the challenges she faced due to the nightly use of Prednisone to treat her vocal strain to get through the show.
He shared his experience with the drug, which treats various conditions by reducing swelling and redness and altering the function of the immune system while expressing his commitment to meet fans’ requests with future dates.
Lauryn Hill Cancels Continued Tour To Protect Her Health
In the statement, Hill expressed his appreciation for “the fans who came out to celebrate this incredible milestone anniversary and reunion with us.”
After stating that performing his classics with “an audience that loves the classics is just…wait for it…EPIC,” he delved into the reason for that statement. The 48-year-old wrote:
“As most of you know, I have been struggling with serious vocal strain for the past month. I got through every show by taking prescribed Prednisone, but this can be harmful to the body when taken in large amounts over a long period of time. To avoid any long-term negative effects [SIC] On my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so I can get off the medication completely.”

The “Turn Your Lights Down Low” hitmaker’s message continued, “For this reason we have to reschedule most of the remaining shows this year,” before adding about the canceled shows:
“This year’s canceled shows will be rescheduled for early 2024 AND due to the overwhelming response, we will be adding new cities to the tour, including overseas. We are working on a new calendar now and will announce it soon.”
Despite the challenges of using his medication, Hill promised that a show scheduled for this weekend in Philadelphia is “STILL GOING ON.” Concluding the lengthy write-up, the “I Gotta Find Peace of Mind” singer wrote:

The announcement came after the New Jersey native admitted his tendency to be late to shows during his recent tour stop in Los Angeles. follow ComplexHill told concertgoers:

In June, Hill surprised fans with an unexpected performance during his headlining set at a music festival in Philadelphia. As The Blast reports, the mother of six was joined by former Fugees bandmates Pras Michel and Wyclef Jean during her set on Saturday, June 3.
The life-changing moment came after the record producer performed a cover of Frankie Valli’s 1967 hit, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” and a rendition of his 1998 hit, “Doo Wop (That Thing).” The crowd erupted as several members of the Roots, as well as Michel and Jean, stepped onto the stage.
The trio then reminded fans of their musical prowess by displaying perfect synchronization during their performance, beginning with “The Score” and ending with “Fu-Gee-La.”
