LeBron James is reportedly bothered by squatters who have taken over a $5 million home near his sprawling Beverly Hills mansion.
The house was taken over by squatters in October after sitting empty on the market for months and has now been used for mass gatherings and “cocaine binges”. It comes amid reports of a surge in squatters occupying several houses across the country.

follow StoppedThe LA Lakers star was concerned about the situation after squatting in a four-bedroom, six-bathroom home in the Beverly Grove Place neighborhood.
The $5 Million property was reportedly used to hold cocaine parties as the news outlet claimed neighbors were “in touch with LeBron James’ house manager,” who James said was “very concerned.”
According to Daily Mail, squatters also advertise rooms at the property on Booking.com for $300 per night and charge hundreds of party guests $75 at the gate.
The parties reportedly started around 2 a.m. and have resulted in assaults, fires and arrests since they began in celebrity-studded Beverly Hills.
Other A-list names living within walking distance of the James mansion include Jeff Bezos, Steve Wynn, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez and Ron Burkle.
LeBron James Safety Enhanced

James seems to have increased his security as the distance between his home and the property in question is still a source of concern, per Stopped.
House manager James, who chose not to be identified, said he increased security on his property because of the squatters.
“I’ve heard from my security team there about all the crazy cars, the crazy parties at night, how sometimes we can’t get into our property because they block the road with their cars, and just the disturbance at night with the loud music and people floated onto the road,” said the manager.
“It’s one of the reasons we have 24/7 security. Otherwise, I don’t have to maintain security there 24/7 because it’s just a construction site,” he added.
A standoff occurs between squatters and original home owners

According to the publication, there was a dispute between the squatters and the homeowner, with the former claiming they were the legal occupants while the homeowner and real estate agent denied any rental agreement existed.
LAPD Senior Chief Officer James Allen revealed that the squatters claimed they were friends of the original owner and had been asked by him to come in person at the property.
Allen went further to note that the house’s current ownership is uncertain, as it has been the subject of a bankruptcy court case, and the house entered foreclosure.
They’re ‘Working On Plans With Banks To Evict’ Slumpers

Commenting further on the situation, Allen shared that they are putting together a plan to ensure the individual is evicted from the property.
“I think he left his friends at home. I guess we can say they are squatters. But they are squatters to the owners who are in foreclosure to the bank,” said Allen.
“We are working on a plan with the bank to deport the individual because there is no one at this point to deport them and say they are there illegally,” he continued. “I have submitted it to the City Attorney. I pick up the house every time we get a radio call for a party.”
He added, “They are using the house outside of its original purpose, illegally.”
Homeowners Hire Investigators

The landlord and their realtor say they don’t allow any rentals or residents and have hired journalist and crime writer Mark Ebner as a private investigator to investigate the squatters.
A neighbor, Rick Rankin, told the news outlet that police were unable to evict the residents because they had obtained a driver’s license containing the property’s address and also produced a rental agreement, which the property’s current listing agent claimed was forged.
Aside from the raucous party it hosted, there was potential evidence that the 5,857-square-foot home was a hub for drug use, which prompted the LAPD to refer the case to its Narcotics division.
Recent police calls to the home, recorded on the Citizen app, include a report of a man in a bucket hat attacking someone with a metal box on January 13, a battery incident on December 2, and a report of a burglary on November 23.
