Len Goodman’s clip reappearing on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ dancer Derek Hough gained a lot of traction following Goodman’s departure.
The world is still mourning the loss of former ‘Dancing With the Stars’ judge and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ alumnus Len Goodman. The 78-year-old died peacefully while in hospice care in Kent, England.
As fans remember the late judge, they recall some great moments from the dance competition show, including the time he lost it after a performance by Derek Hough and his partner Kellie Pickler.

While Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough were waiting for their judges’ scores on last season’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’, head judge Len Goodman was giving feedback to the couple, when he suddenly lost it.
Criticizing how the dance was not a proper and technical routine, Goodman was seen yelling and standing up as he expressed his frustration at Hough for his choreography, to which Hough was later seen laughing at him and not taking it seriously.
“Where are the right twists and turns?” Goodman asks in the clip. “Where is the famous Paso Doble?” Hough is then seen throwing his head back, laughing hysterically as his partner, Pickler, seems to take the criticism to heart, so he can continue to study.

“This girl is so talented,” Goodman continued to shout. “I don’t want to see flashing lights, I want a real Paso Doble.” The head judge then stood up throwing his hands in the air, while Carrie Ann and Bruno Toniolo stood trying to calm Goodman down.
“You know I’m right,” he said, pointing directly at Hough. Pickler, meanwhile, looks very uncomfortable as this whole interaction goes down.
Kellie Pickler ended up taking first place with her partner, Derek Hough, as they took home the Mirror Ball Trophy.

It wasn’t all bad blood between the two because when Hough became a judge, the two worked well together. Following Goodman’s death, Derek Hough released a heartfelt statement while sharing tributes on social media.
“’Hold my gaze.’ Saddened by the news of our friend and mentor, Len Goodman. It’s a somber morning here in Los Angeles, which seems fitting after this heartbreaking news,” she wrote, adding, “But when I think back to the memories we all shared with Len, his sense of humor, his smile, and his charm, everything feels brighter and full of sunlight. Still hard to fully process but filled with gratitude knowing I had the privilege of working alongside this absolute legend.”
