“Dancing With the Stars” recently moved from its original station ABC to Disney’s streaming service, Disney+.
The reality competition show is hosted by “America’s Next Top Model” host Tyra Banks and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” actor Alfonso Ribeiro and judged by Len Goodman, who serves as head judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli .
However, towards the end of the recently aired season, Len Goodman announced he was retiring from the show to spend more time in his home country of the United Kingdom.

According to sources, the reality competition show may have found their replacement for Len Goodman — “Strictly Come Dancing’s” Motsi Mabus.
A “Dancing With the Stars” insider told The Sun that Motsi, 41, is now the number one candidate to replace the fan-favorite judge, and “will bring a fresh perspective to the show, and much-needed diversity to the table.”
“Motsi is a very vocal and passionate character,” the insider said. “She’s loved in the UK version for being a strong independent mind and someone who stands up for herself.”
“He will bring a fresh feel to the show,” the insider said.

Mabus isn’t the only candidate the show is reportedly eyeing. Shirley Ballas, 62, from “Strictly Come Dancing” is also a top choice. “Len’s exit leaves a huge hole in the panel, but the show’s team felt Shirley would be a really great addition,” the source added.
“His experience is second to none and he makes no secret of the fact that he wants to spend more time with his son Mark, who is based in the US with his wife Brittany,” they concluded.

“While we’re all getting excited and looking forward to next week’s finale, it will also come with a touch of sadness, and this will be my last season judging ‘Dancing with the Stars,'” the judge said on a recent episode. “I’ve been with the show since it started in 2005, and it’s been a pleasure to be a part of such a great show, but I’ve decided to spend more time with my kids and family.”
“Dancing With the Stars” host Tyra Banks shared some sweet words after Goodman announced his retirement.
“You have inspired generations of dancers around the world through your passion and through your expertise and through your laser-focused eyes,” Banks said. “And they will continue that commitment to excellence forever.”
Professional dancer Cheryl Burke, who is also retiring from the show, thanked Goodman for everything he taught her. “You have been a huge part of why ballroom dancing continues to entertain millions of people at home who gather around their TV screens every week,” he wrote on social media. “Thank you for changing my life and bringing joy to millions of people who have watched us over the years.”
