Leslie Grace, known for her impressive performances and captivating voice, is tackling DC’s ‘Batgirl’ cancellation once again!
There was talk of the studio claiming that it “couldn’t be released.” However, the actor who plays the lead role in the film decided to speak his mind on the matter, and he couldn’t be more excited about the film.

In a revealing interview, she spoke candidly about the unfortunate cancellation of the highly anticipated “Batgirl” movie and shared her thoughts on the studio’s alleged “unreleaseable” status.
He also discussed the possibility of returning to the DC Universe and the touching moments he shared with his co-stars. After a seven-month production in Scotland, the star received an unforgettable gift-wrap from her on-screen nemesis, Brendan Fraser.

As Grace tells it, “The card said a lot of really sweet things, but [Fraser] basically saying, ‘I’m giving you this necklace because in this business you have to have some luck. And after all this, it has a lot of meaning.” However, the fallout from the film’s production was met with disappointment as Warner Bros. Discovery decided to scrap the project in August after the first test screenings failed to meet expectations.
The decision to cancel the series, co-directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, was due to the debt-ridden studio’s need to take a tax write-off. The film, which already cost $90 million, needs more money to complete.
According to the 28-year-old, she was in the dark like many people when she heard about the cancellation. He learned of the news only when it was reported by the New York Post, and his phone was suddenly flooded with messages. Remembering that moment, he said:
“I found out like the rest of you, and then my phone started blowing up.”
When asked how he felt after hearing the news, he recalled the moment with mixed feelings. “It was like deflating a balloon,” he said, adding that he felt confident in the magic they had created.
Despite her disappointment, she remains optimistic about her experience in the film, stating, “As much as I would love to share that with the whole world, nothing can take that experience away from us.”
Grace revealed that Film Group CEO Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca shared their limitations and the plans and budgets they had in place before joining the team. The songwriter stated that from listening, he learned a lot about the filmmaking process and realized that as an actor, he had little control over certain aspects.

He also insisted that they couldn’t be specific about the creative aspects of the film or how it might affect the DC universe. Regarding the nature of the film, Grace revealed that they had already started editing but had to stop, adding:
“but the film that I got to see – the scenes that were there – were incredible. There’s definitely potential for a good film, in my opinion.”
When asked if there was a chance he would appear in the “Batman” sequel, he admitted there had been talks about it but could not confirm anything at the time.

The reel also shows her working out at the gym, in the makeup chair, getting ready and looking teary-eyed in the living room. He wrote in the caption:
