Actress Leslie Jordan died suddenly on October 24 when she suffered a medical event that caused her to crash into the side of a building in Hollywood, California.
The 67-year-old actor’s death shocked many in the industry, especially his co-star on the Fox sitcom “Call Me Kat.” On Thursday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office released her death certificate, listing her cause of death as “sudden cardiac dysfunction.”

According to documents obtained by The Blast, beloved actor Leslie Allen Jordan died of sudden cardiac dysfunction due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
According to the Medical Examiner’s investigative report, he was driving when he ran off the road and hit a vehicle. The vehicle continued and eventually collided with a building. Parademics were called in but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy showed no signs of life-threatening trauma. Internal examination showed that he had moderate to severe atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office determined that her death was of natural causes and listed arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease as a secondary factor in her sudden death.

According to the coroner’s report, there was no evidence of “life-threatening injuries”. The medical examiner noted “2 x 1-3/4 inch red-brown abrasions under the chin, scattered red-brown abrasions ranging from 1/16 to ¼ inch in greatest dimension on the upper right chest in the area of defibrillator pad impact, and abrasions ¼ x 3/616 of a red-yellow inch on the proximal left arm of the medicine.”
The medical examiner also noted “a round ¼ x ¼ inch purple bruise was present on the left dorsal hand at the base of the ring finger.” There was no evidence of a fracture in his neck and his chest and abdominal cavity showed no signs of bleeding or abnormal fluid.
A toxicology report was performed and tested negative for ethanol, marijuana, common illicit drugs (cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA), and commonly abused prescription drugs (benzodiazepines, fentanyl and opiates).

Shortly after her death, “Call Me Kat,” which starred the alum of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Jeopardy!” co-host Mayim Bialik, stopped production. Leslie Jordan has portrayed Phil since the first season of the show, and, according to Deadline, completed nine episodes of the series before she passed.
In a statement, the actress and producer mourned her passing, writing, “There are no words to express the loss we as the cast and family of Call Me Kat have experienced. Leslie Jordan was larger than life,” the statement said. “He was a Southern man; soft, smart, mischievous, and funny.”
“We knew and loved him at the height of his joy and happiness and it’s impossible to imagine a world without our Leslie: the man who would spit on his contact lenses before putting them in his eyes, the man who had a story about every man in Hollywood and some women too, the man who lived to make people laugh.”

“Will & Grace” star Sean Hayes, who played Jack on the show, was one of the first celebrities to take to social media to mourn his passing.
“My heart is broken,” he said tweeted. “Leslie Jordan is one of the funniest people I’ve ever worked with. Everyone who met him, loved him. There will never be anyone like him. A unique talent with a big and loving heart. You will be missed, my dear friend.”
Eric McCormack, who stars as Will, as well tweeted condolences, writing, “Devastated to learn of the loss of @thelesliejordan, the funniest & flirtatious southern man I have ever known. The joy and laughter she brings to every episode of her #WillandGrace is palpable. Go about thirty years too fast. You are loved, sweet man.”
