Lester Moves to Standard NBA Contract with Golden State
Lester Quiñones’ contract with the Golden State Warriors was recently converted to a regular NBA deal. Quiñones went undrafted in 2022 and joined the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Warriors’ G League club, for the 2022-23 season. In October 2022, Quiñones scored an amazing 42 points in one game for the Santa Cruz Warriors. The Warriors offered him a 10-day contract based on his outstanding performance, but he did not play for the club.
As a result, he returned to the Santa Cruz Warriors later this season. Quinones re-signed with the Golden State Warriors via a two-way deal 15 days later and made his NBA debut on March 31. Prior to joining the Golden State Warriors, Quiñones was selected as the NBA G League Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season.
