In a recent X post, Reinhart admitted how much she wishes the industry had more skinny arms so she could stop obsessing over them. The 27-year-old said, “I wish more mid-sized guns were represented in mainstream media for women. We’ve been admiring these skinny arms which, for most of us, can only be achieved if you’re a real teenager.”

She also talked about her body dysmorphia getting worse because of it, writing, “My body dysmorphia is going crazy because I feel like my arms need to be half the size they are now?”

To most fans, she’s a stunning woman but then again, that’s body dysmorphia. According to the Mayo Clinic, body dysmorphic disorder is defined as, “a mental health condition in which you can’t stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or defects in your appearance – defects that seem small or imperceptible to others. But you may feel very shy, embarrassed, and worried that you may avoid many social situations.

User X immediately jumped into the comment stream, sharing similar sentiments though admitting that Reinhart probably has it worse considering she faces the cameras every day.

One fan tried to make her feel good about herself, writing, “Honestly, your arm is for me. I’ve literally said “her arm is like mine!” so many times. Feels silly but it’s one of those things that I always think about it and I’m so glad to see it in you. They’re better for hugging.”

Speaking as candidly as she could, the “Hustlers” actress also wanted to let women know they’re not alone in seeing themselves differently than others as she Tweeted in a follow-up post, “The amount of time I waste. thinking about my arms in The last few months have been crazy. I want to put my own thoughts out there to let other women know they’re not alone.”

that said, as she has battled body dysmorphia and OCD, she further wrote, “I really wonder how anyone survives or gets through this life without having severe BD. Maybe it’s a cruel version of amplification in combination with my OCD , but damn.”

Wrote one enthralled fan, “You’re so real for this! I feel the same way about my arms. I always compare myself to other people who are thinner than me and wish I looked like them.”

Another wrote, “OMG I really need this, thanks Lili. I generally love my body EXCEPT my arms, I think they’re average, but then I cringe when I see girls online with tiny hands! & it’s not hatred towards them at all, but it must be hard sometimes not to compare.”

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Reinhart also spoke out against celebrities starving themselves to fit into an event dress, saying, “The most followed people on Instagram are skinny people with bellies, long legs, silky hair, and flesh- in eyebrows. But then people really like it when I say, ‘It’s okay not to have a 24-inch waist and it’s okay to have acne.’ But the same people praise people with images of perfect everything. Which side are you on?”

One fan defended her, writing, “It’s so hard to show body positivity and confidence when the whole world doesn’t make it easy to do so. But, you are so loved and appreciated and you are not alone either! Glad to always have you as my role model.”
