Lisa Rinna is celebrating her friend and fellow soap star Kelly Ripa’s new book “Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories.”
The talk show host continues his unfiltered tradition in his book, ripping into his “roller-coaster” journey to happiness. The release of the paperback, which delves into several aspects of Ripa’s life, sparked an excited reaction from many, including Rinna. So the “Melrose Place” star uploaded a video showing her dancing to Pharrell Williams’ 2013 hit single, “Happy.”

In the clip shared via Instagram, Rinna is seen wearing a black tank top and pink baggy pants. The barefoot queen started things off by simply pointing her finger, followed by a close-up of a copy of Ripa’s book.
The “Days of Our Lives” star stepped into full view of the camera to dance excitedly with a copy of “Live Wire” in hand. At one point, Rinna hits her butt with parchment paper before dancing back and forth in what appears to be her backyard.
The TV personality used her caption to direct her 3.5 million followers to buy their copies. As expected, the reel caught the attention of its fans, garnering over 200k views, 5k likes and hundreds of comments.
One such comment gushed about how “inspiring” Rinna’s “spirit for life” is. One expressed how “supportive” the dark-haired star was, and another admitted that Rinna was “loyal to her friends.”
Others told the dancing queen that they had either bought their copy or were expecting it in the mail soon. This positive response clearly shows that “Live Wire” has a lot of support from Rinna and Ripa’s fans.
Ripa’s desire to tell live events from his decades-long journey as “Live!” co-hosts seem to be getting noticed. During an interview with Shondaland, the actress told how she got the idea to write the book. After seeing how people praised his storytelling skills, “Hope & Faith” said:
“I started writing these notes to our staff during the pandemic that were really funny, and my publisher encouraged me to post some of them on my website. [Instagram] story. And when I did, a book editor called me and said, “We’d like you to write a book.”
Eventually, her editor Carrie Thornton encouraged Ripa to write a book, prompting the actress to write a chapter — proving Thornton said she had talent. Thus began the determination of “Dance Party USA” dancers to produce a great book.
Ripa claims she “free writes” without setting an outline as she writes based on what “speaks to me at the time.” Keep in mind that flipping through journals, notes and calendars helps him process.
Rinna & Ripa’s Relationship Runs Deep

Ripa and Rinna’s friendship became the topic of many conversations. In July 2022, Nicki Swift posted an article focusing on the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star and the “30 Rock” cast’s love for each other.
Aside from the couple starting their entertainment careers in Tinseltown as soap opera stars, they are also competing for who will host “Live!” with the late Regis Philbin. Share some of that tea during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live!” Rinna said:
“I have quite a long history with ‘Live!’ Regis actually told me it was between me and Kelly.
Despite the obstacle, Ripa did not maintain animosity between them as they only found out about it until later. He said, “I mean, we never see each other. It’s not like he’s in one room and I’m in another room. It’s not like that. It’s like he’ll host the show, then I’ll host the show.”
Alluding to her longtime friendship with Rinna, Ripa stated, “I mean, I love Lisa Rinna, I’ve known her for a long time. Because we all started using soap together. I really like him.”
The couple loves each other so much that Rinna once hinted that she wanted Ripa’s son, Joaquin Antonio Consuelos, to marry one of her daughters. Whether that dream will come true or not remains to be seen.
