He just wants a hug!
A Florida Sheriff’s Office Deputy was dispatched to a home after responding to a disconnected call from the residence, only to find a compelling reason for the alert.
When Hillsborough County Deputy Scott Pracht arrived at the Riverview, Fla., home, he learned that the 911 call came from a boy who “wanted to hug him,” WFLA-TV reported.
Doorbell footage captured Pracht knocking on the front door to answer what he thought might be an emergency.
A woman came from the side of the property and greeted Pracht, but he seemed confused as to why he was at the residence.
“Is this your house?” Pracht asked the woman, to which she replied yes. “Everything is okay? We got a 911 call.”

The video progresses a bit as the mother opens the door and asks her son to come talk to the officer and bring his phone.
“Honestly, he doesn’t know what 911 is,” the mother apologized to the officer.

The little boy runs out of the phone and is asked by the mother “did you call the police?”
“Okay, I want to hug him!” the boy replied before sweetly rushing over to Pracht.
The mother took the child’s phone and looked through the cellular device when she discovered the boy had indeed called 911, showing Pracht his call history.

“I know your phone number, 911,” the boy told Pracht.
Pracht turned the adorable moment into a lesson as he briefed the boy on the seriousness of using 911 in an emergency situation.
“Yes, but you know what it’s for [911]? It’s if you’re in trouble, if you need help, or if someone you know is around you and that’s in trouble and needs help,” explained Pracht.

“It’s very important that you have to be careful when you call that number, okay. Only in an emergency and if you’re hurt, or someone else is hurt, your mom needs help, you know someone’s doing something they shouldn’t be doing, you call us, okay,” added Pracht.
“Okay,” the little boy replied innocently, then apologized by saying “sorry” after being directed by his mother.
Pracht immediately forgave the child without hesitation and assured his mother “it’s okay.”
“Fourteen… kids just want a hug,” Pracht jokingly says on his radio before the video cuts out.
