After a few laughs, the 34-year-old continued, saying, “Positive, feel-good music wasn’t mainstream at the time and I felt very misunderstood. I feel on the outside looking in, but I stay true to myself because I want to make the world a better place. So I had to be that change to be a better place. And now, I look around and there are all these songs about loving our bodies and being comfortable in our skin and feeling good and I’m so proud to be a part of it!”
