Per ExplosionLizzo has since responded to the allegations with a lengthy post on social media, stating that they were “excessive” while insisting that she was “not the villain” in the case.

He insisted that although he sometimes “had to make difficult decisions,” it was never his intention to make anyone feel inferior or unimportant. He also states that he takes his craft seriously and would do nothing to harm it.

“I am hurt but I will not let this overshadow the good work I am doing in the world. I want to thank everyone who has reached out to lift me up in this difficult time,” Lizzo concluded.

Complainants slammed his response, citing a “dismissive” and “lack of empathy” tone from him.
