Lorde may have famously declared she’d “never seen a diamond in the flesh” in her career-defining 2013 debut “Royals,” but here’s a big event she’ll be witnessing soon: The launch of her sister’s debut single!
Nine years ago, then-17-year-old Ella Yelich O’Connor burst onto the indie music scene with the aforementioned single, which candidly details how Yelich-O’Connor and her band of friends respond to the subject of financial wealth that often mentioned. in pop songs, and since then he has become one of the most famous musicians of the last decade.
Now, with three full-length albums to her name, Lorde may be ready to pass the torch.
Earlier this afternoon, Consequence Of Sound share the link on Twitter to stream 23-year-old Indian ‘Indy’ Yelich O’Connor’s first single!

Who is Indian Yelich O’Connor?
Lorde’s little sister isn’t new to writing her own material!
“Yarn” isn’t the first time people have heard Indy’s voice.
Indy also has a modest following generated from writing poetry! He independently released a volume of poetry called “Sticky Notes” in 2018, according to one of his two Instagram accounts!
In an Instagram post about the book written by one of Indy’s friends, it was revealed that Lorde was ready to help bring “Sticky Notes” to fruition!
“Her sister @lordemusic edited the book and actually found it hard to find anything worth editing,” her friend @caito_potatoe wrote, “so that’s when you know this book is KICK ARSE,” she continued.

What about the Music?
Now, it looks like Indy is getting ready to start a new era as a musician!
On his second (and more recently updated) Instagram account, Indy posted a black-and-white reel featuring him sitting at a piano, singing a 27-second snippet of “Threads.”
According to Consequence Of Sound’s post about the single, the ballad heard on the reel doesn’t appear to be the only version of “Thread” floating around in the ether.
The outlet also reported that TMZ “has a clip of the song as an EDM-inflected uptempo pop song.”
Whether or not Indy will eventually share every version of “Threads” available, his excitement about the song’s release was clear in an Instagram post he shared on Tuesday.

He wrote, “My debut single Threads is out September 15th. Can’t wait for you to hear it. I’ve been living with that song on the subway, driving around blasting it in my friends car for a while now,” in the caption of the photo.
Fans flocked to the comments section to congratulate Indy on its upcoming launch, which is also available for pre-order.
Will her sister get out of the grind to help celebrate the release of “Threads” or get inspired to write new material for her upcoming third album? Only time will tell!
Lorde’s latest album “Solar Power” was released last summer.
