Love can indeed be full of surprises!

This idea can definitely be applied to “Love Is Blind: After The Altar,” a three-episode reunion for the cast of the second season of Netflix’s mega-successful (and highly addictive!) reality series “Love Is Blind.”

It might be an understatement to say that the cast of the second season has been followed by an endless cycle of drama since the audience met these now famous faces in February 2022.

“Love Is Blind: After The Altar” gives viewers a chance to catch up with the cast for better or worse a year after going through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

For Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones, the couple’s road to wedded bliss after tying the knot contained unexpected twists and turns.

What Happened Between The Duo?

After meeting and connecting in the pod, the pair eventually become engaged despite having starkly opposite personalities and in McNeely’s case, experiencing moments of doubt regarding trust, particularly surrounding Jones’ past pod-era relationship with Mallory Zapata.

The two eventually tie the knot and try to merge their lives together off camera in the real world.

Unfortunately, Jones and McNeely announced they had decided to end their marriage, a shocking moment for “Love Is Blind” fans! The news of their separation broke almost a month before the premiere of “Love Is Blind: After The Altar”.

McNeely gave her support on her Instagram story and in the comments section of “We Are The Brand’s” reel.

What Does Jones Have to Say?

Jones’ interview is full of vulnerable moments. She candidly talks about the incredibly fast pace at which the couple met, fell in love, and married, and some of the lessons she learned during their marriage, and discusses her feelings about their divorce.

Jones kept it real with “We Are The Brand” host Frankie Fabre as she discussed the accelerated pace she and McNeely were going through and trying to learn the lessons about falling in love that couples usually take years to learn.

He explained, “We got married in seven weeks,” and went on to elaborate on the “Love Is Blind” experience.

“We were in a ‘pressure cook’ environment in an experiment, Jones continued, “and we had to make a decision… first of all, it was always our choice to either, even to get engaged and follow through and get married. “

Jones is vulnerable to detailing how he believes “Fools will sit here and tell you that you’re ready to be engaged and married in seven weeks. Silly. But if there’s enough for you, ‘you know I want to take this leap of faith. , there’s something that draws me to this person, I’m going to take this chance. It can either work out or, in my case, it can’t work out.”

Jones Learns a Vulnerable Lesson in Healing

An appearance on the “We Are The Brand” podcast isn’t the first instance of the “Love Is Blind” star passing on lessons related to healing.

Last month The Blast covered Jones’ Insta-documented vacation to Costa Rica, which McNeely loudly and happily endorsed! In the caption of an Instagram photo from Jones’ trip she wrote, “In the world of opinion, I have everything to be thankful for!”

McNeely chimed in with a supportive comment, “Right. Live your life,” she wrote and included a clapping emoji!

She also posted some helpful healing tips on her Instagram story and added “someone needs to see this” at the end of the list.

Three episodes of “Love Is Blind: After The Altar” are now available to stream on Netflix!
