TikTok also featured text reading, “Nick Viall Sides with Producers to Push the ‘Everything’s Fine in Reality TV Narrative.

The following day, Thompson’s ex-wife took to Instagram to voice her displeasure with Viall, writing a lengthy post in which she opened up about the hurt she felt from Viall’s comments about the reality show hiring cast members with histories of mental health struggles.

Thompson Fires Back at Viall, Claiming He Rejects ‘Pure Propoganda’

Thompson’s TikTok opened with a clip from “The Viall Files” featuring the 42-year-old reality star saying, “We have weak reality TV stars who aren’t smart enough to monetize their Instagram.”

TikTok then cut to a clip of Thompson in which he said “Nick Viall has made his point clear. He doesn’t believe reality TV producers are responsible for ensuring cast members are provided with mental health support, human rights, basic labor law protections, etc. He continued to punch from his podcast studio to our newfound profit, the UCAN foundation, all in an effort to denigrate and dehumanize our work. He had to make personal insults about intelligence and platform monetization, What?” Thompson explains.

He continued, “personal insults occur when someone does not want to debate you on the merits of your issue. There is a difference between taking an opportunity and a moral obligation to provide basic support to humanity. We all see you don’t believe reality TV personalities deserve to be treated like human beings. Instead, you protect the manufacturer [and] production companies by rejecting narratives that are pure propaganda. When you decide to come to the right side of the issue, or at least [when] you want to have a productive dialogue about it, I’m up for it without feeling heavy,” Thompson ended his TikTok.

Thompson’s TikTok comes shortly after she reminisced about her experiences following the release of a recent Business Insider article in which several members of the “Love Is Blind” cast shared their experiences of alleged on-set abuse. Thompson claims he lost 15 pounds during filming due to “limited food and water.”

Thompson and fellow “Love Is Blind” season 2 contestant Jeremy Hartwell have created the UCAN foundation as a result, which “aims to provide mental health and legal support to current, past, present and future reality show contestants,” according to The Blast reports on the matter.

Our report also states that this coverage will be extended to participants of all reality shows and not limited to Netflix dating series.

He posted a video where he shared his thoughts and even expanded on them in the caption of the post.

In addition to his thoughts, Ruhl shared two clips from “The Viall Files” that showcase Viall’s comments in reference to Ruhl’s recent admission that he felt the show’s psychologists allegedly used information they gathered from his pre-show mental health screening against him.

In his video, Ruhl begins, “So it’s been brought to my attention that Nick Viall did a podcast that was basically a slam piece that also poked fun at the fact that I had previously tried to kill myself.”

“I remember the first time I ever discussed this in an interview and I was very hesitant to do so, I was afraid for it to come out, because this is not an easy thing to talk about. People like Nick Viall make it difficult to talk about,” he said. “It’s people like Nick Viall [it’s] because it is still stigmatized. That’s the reason why people don’t want to talk about it. There’s a reason why people are embarrassed by it.”

He continued, “He made comments in a way that made people who were trying to kill themselves feel less than that. I hope he realizes that there are many people outside of me who feel this too. And the fact that she wanted to go back to school to be a therapist when her whole career was putting people down, when she didn’t understand the sensitivity of mental health, or [suicidal] ideas, or those who have tried to kill themselves in the past, like, that’s scary,” he said before the video cut off.
