“Love Is Blind” season four contestant Micah Lussier has apologized for his controversial on-screen behavior thus far.
Since the premiere of the fourth season of the beloved Netflix reality dating series last week, Lussier has received a lot of criticism online. Lussier and fellow contestant Irina Solomonova have been criticized for their responses to the feelings of other contestants, and Lussier has also received criticism for his actions toward his ex-fiancée during a festive Mexican vacation.
Less than a week since the premiere of the fourth season and only five episodes released so far, both Lussier and Solomonova have already responded to the backlash they received. “Love Is Blind” alumni Natalie Lee also expressed her dissatisfaction with Lussier’s behavior.
The 27-year-old took to her Instagram story on Tuesday to clear the air.

Lussier Receives Criticism For ‘Mean Girl’ Behavior On Social Media
Reaction to Lussier’s actions and behavior began to dominate the Twitter hashtag “Love Is Blind” after the first five episodes of the fourth season were dropped on March 24.

“I want Micah from ‘love is blind’ szn 4 to be called so bad but YOU KNOW they’re going to let him and Kwame dog. They always let these girls get away with being horrible and then being like, ~*but that wasn’t my heart~*… That wasn’t ~*~*my intention*~*~*” one Twitter user write.
“The first episode of love was blind and I didn’t like Micah anymore. Female energy min. I hate it,” another said tweeted.
“Micah from blind love looks like a character from ‘burger bob[s],’ another skeptical viewer write.
“I can already tell Micah about ‘love being blind’ is going to be really annoying because why are you upset with Kwame for saying he has a strong relationship with someone else & trying to get him to commit to you but then you talk about how much you like Paul and have a relationship who is strong with it,” another user pointed out.
Countless tweets mentioned Lussier and Solomonova’s controversial behavior as a couple.

According to Life & Style, Lee questioned Lussier’s intentions after revealing an “insider source” told Lussier’s intentions to be in a relationship and find a life partner were not “very genuine.”
“I did hear from some inside sources that at least Micah was not very genuine in his relationship with Paul. [Peden] and his intention to really find a partner. That’s just me saying it in the nicest way,” said Lee.
‘Mean Girls’ Season Four Explains Itself

Lussier and Solomonova will address their behavior with Entertainment Weekly, revealing why they mocked contestants for crying, eavesdropping on private conversations, and so-called ‘mean girls’.
“For us, it really helps to have some sense of normalcy,” Lussier explained. “Be able to laugh and joke and make jokes and, maybe sometimes the jokes don’t work or maybe they don’t look the best, but we need it in those moments to feel like normal people,” he explained. . “Because you are part of this unspeakable experience. To be able to make some light out of such a difficult thing really helps.”
Solomonova will also echo Lussier’s sentiments about normalcy.
“The mechanism overcame me and Micah laughed at it,” Solomonova would tell the outlet. “And I’ll honestly say on the record, 100 percent, I didn’t mean to hurt anybody. [Hearing] that I hurt people’s feelings really hurt my heart…”
Lussier Issued An Apology Through His Instagram Stories

Lussier later tried to set the record straight with an Instagram apology.
In his note, Lussier called his behavior “emotional immaturity,” and revealed he “takes responsibility personally.” He also responded to criticism for turning off his Instagram comments, citing ongoing mental health struggles.
Lussier accepted Peden’s proposal after breaking up with Kwame Appiah. Peden was previously in a relationship with Amber Wilder.
Episodes six through eight of season four will be released this Friday, March 31. (per Men’s Health)
