Lukanand Kshetrimayum started working as a film director when he was just eight years old. He has directed Manipuri teleplays such as Ram Lakshman (2010), Thambal Pareng (2010), and TAK (2011). In 2013, he directed the Manipuri documentary Sangai. After that, he directed the Manipuri films Asengba Saktam (2014) and Meitan Araba (2019). Meitan Araba was released at the Manipur State Film Development Society in Imphal. The film has won seven awards at SSS Manifa 2019 and two awards at the 12th Manipuri State Film Awards.

Modeling

On 8 August 2019, Lukanand participated and won the Garnier Men Mega Mister North East held in Guwahati, Assam. At the ceremony, he was also awarded the title of Mister International India.

Lukanand represented India in the 14th edition of the Mr International (2022) male beauty pageant held at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines. About thirty-five contestants from all over the world participated in the competition and Kshetrimayum emerged as the first runner-up in the competition after Manu Franco of the Dominican Republic. Lukanand also won the special award of Mister Dermaworld International at the competition.
