“Black Panther” star Lupita Nyong’o is heartbroken! The actress shared the news of her split with Selema Masekela, her boyfriend of almost a year after recently being spotted with fellow actor Joshua Jackson, who is currently going through a divorce.

On her Instagram page, Hollywood star Lupita Nyong’o surprised her fans by announcing the end of her relationship with sports journalist Selema Masekela.
The actress shared a long post in which she detailed her grief and made sure to label Masekela as untrustworthy.
Nyong’o began by acknowledging the dire state of the world, seemingly referring to the Israel-Hamas conflict, before airing her grievances with her ex-boyfriend.
He said, “There are much more important things going on in the world right now, and my thoughts are with those who are suffering so much. At this time, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly separate myself from someone I am not. can trust again.”
“I found myself in a season of heartbreak because of love that was suddenly and horribly extinguished by deception,” said Nyong’o, hinting that she had been deceived in her relationship with Masekela.
He continued, “I was tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I had regained enough of my strength to say, ‘Whatever, my life is better this way.’ But I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I feel is the measure of my capacity for love.
Nyong’o and Masekela went official on IG last December, sharing a carousel of stunning photos capturing their love in various locations. At the time, the couple looked very much in love and received praise and support from fans and celebrities for their union.

In her statement on Instagram, Nyong’o took the opportunity to encourage others going through the same struggle to try not to “run away from the pain” of heartbreak, because experiencing it comes with “wisdom.”
She wrote, “Thus, I choose to face the pain, cultivate the courage to live my life to the fullest, and trust that this too shall pass. The promise, they say, is that a soft heart breeds courage.”
Nyong’o added, “I hope it’s true… I’m sharing this to keep it alive [100] and hope [sic] hopefully the knowledge of my experience will be useful to others out there in the grip of heartbreak who are ready to try and escape the pain and loss of wisdom that comes from it.”

The video shows the two on vacation as their outfits change from paisley robes to animal print swimsuits. The stylish couple also turned into three luxurious ensembles that complemented each other.
Prior to the shock announcement of their split, Nyong’o was spotted out and about with fellow actor Joshua Jackson, who is currently divorcing Jodie Turner-Smith.
