Lydian Nadhaswaram was born on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 (Age 15 years; as in 2020) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His zodiac sign is Virgo. Lydian started his journey at a very young age and showed interest in music when he was just 3 years old. He uses the xylophone to play a beat that is considered a 3/4 pattern by professional drummers. Career
At the age of four, Lydian took early morning practice sessions from music educator and drummer, Maynard Grant. Lydian’s older sister Amirtha Varshini started piano lessons and the two would go together for the sessions. By the age of eight, Lydian had performed in over 600 shows with his father. After watching his father play the piano, Lydian decided to study the piano, and he enrolled in the KM Music Conservatory, a higher education institute to study classical and western music. He spent four years there before he participated in the CBS talent show ‘The World’s Best’ and won the prize.

- Lydian is a prodigy. Apart from piano, he can play drums, sitar, and even has sessions with tablas. He likes to keep switching between different musical instruments to master each instrument and perform better.
- The name Lydian Nadhaswaram is also inspired by music. The name Lydian means melodic scale in Western culture. His last name, “Nadhaswaram” is also the name of a musical instrument used during temple ceremonies and marriages as it is considered very holy and auspicious.

- In 2013, Lydian was featured on POGO channel as the fastest kid drummer in India. In 2017, his reputation as a drummer landed him a gig performing a solo drum session at Mumbai’s National Drum Day.
- Lydian has been compared to Mozart because they both have some similarities like Mozart with his older sister and Lydian as well. Mozart was adept at several instruments and played them very well, Lydian had the same quality.
- Lydian can play the piano with his eyes closed and he performs for crowds when he’s called on the Ellen DeGeneres show. During his interview on the show, Lydian expressed his desire to perform on the moon.
- Lydian can play many kinds of instruments but he wants to get an opportunity to learn and play Harp and Nadhaswaram. He posts videos of him playing different instruments on his YouTube channel.
- During the performance of “The World’s Best”, Lydian played ‘The Bumblebee’ on the piano during the performance and continued to increase the speed of the game. He played the same song at 280 beats per minute and ended up playing at 325. This is the result of 5-6 hours of practice every day.
- Lydian Nadhaswaram made his debut as a film composer with the Indian Malayalam language fantasy Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure. The film is directed by Mohanlal. On September 4, 2020, Lydian made his debut as an actor in the musical film, ‘Atkan Chatkan.’ The film is presented by AR Rahman and it has been released on the online streaming platform, ZEE5.
