- Bhaskar has played comic as well as negative roles in many films and shows. In an interview, she spoke about her choice of role and said,
It is a carefree unit with lots of fun, respect and warmth all around. Vani Bhojan called me appa, the kids on the sets called me thatha, and I had equally warm experiences with Vaibhav and Karunakaran too. People across age groups can enjoy every aspect of this movie. - Bhaskar learned many languages and spoke various slang. According to him, he used to learn the language where he lived. Speaking about this, in an interview, he said,
You will never see me in the same body language in two films. Can you name any? I rejected the film when the director told me this role would work well as one of my characters from my previous film. Likewise with dialects, there are many. Many people do not know which one is the Tirunelveli dialect and which is the other. Just because it ends in ‘ley’, it is not necessarily Tirunelveli slang. In other films, I would speak Sangam Tamil throughout my screen time. This is an improvisation that I bring on location.”

I don’t see the duration of my role on screen. What’s the point of doing a character that appears throughout the movie but doesn’t really make an impact? I came only for 15 minutes in Vindhai, but the role got me a lot of credit. So, I did a role that told me not to lose the director or the film. There have been times when I have turned down characters that have more screen time but don’t have room for me as an actor.”
- Bhaskar’s son is also a famous Tamil actor, who rose to fame with the films 96 (2018) and Paava Kadhaigal (2020).
