Production Company
He has established many production ventures that have produced many super hit films. When Madhu was ten years old, he set up a music label which was later sold to Supreme Recording Company. He later established Adlabs International Operations with the sponsorship of Manmohan Shetty.
He later became the Head of Saregama Films. He founded Big Bang Media Private Limited in 2007 and became its Chief Creative Officer. He founded Phantom Films in 2011 in collaboration with Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, and Vikramaditya Motwane. In 2022, after the company was liquidated, he, along with Sheetal Talwar, bought the Phantom brand and named it Phantom Studios. He is the founder of Mythoverse LPP which has announced large-scale films based on Hindu epic texts such as Ramayana and Mahabharat.

He has produced films in five languages Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, and Bengali. His debut film as a producer was the 2003 Telugu film Karthik. He has produced several superhit films including the 2008 Hindi film Ghajini, which was his debut Bollywood production, the 2014 Hindi film Queen, the 2016 Hindi film Udta Punjab, and the 2019 Hindi film Super 30. He also produced the Netflix web series Sacred Games. In 2023, he announced a film about the last Hindu Queen of Kashmir, Kota Rani, and a Mahabharat film.

- After announcing her marriage to Ira Trivedi in April 2023, she revealed that they had known each other for over a decade. He proposed to her earlier too; however, he rejected it on the basis of caste, age, and cultural differences. He later married Masaba Gupta and later divorced. They met again and eventually married.
- In April 2023, his company Big Bang Media Private Limited became the official media partner of the Indian Hockey League.
