She joined The Cake Table cake workshop in January 2018 to learn to bake and start working as a cake maker.
Death
He died on 12 March 2023 in Pune at the age of 32. He went looking for a room for a bakery with his friend in Wakad, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, when he felt dizzy and suddenly fell down. He was then taken to hospital from where he was shifted to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Several injuries were found on his face. Some of his relatives claimed that he had been murdered; however, the police said that it appeared to be a case of sudden death. After the incident, Wakad Police Senior Inspector Satyawan Mane spoke to the media and told that they have filed a case of accidental death and are conducting further investigations. He said,
Madhu Markandeya used to work as a cake maker. On Sunday, Madhu and her friend went looking for a room to rent to expand the business. There, Madhu fell due to a sudden headache. Madhu was rushed to a private hospital by her friend. But, he was asked to take her to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital. We have registered an ‘Accidental Death Report’ (ADR) and further investigation is underway.”
