Career
Madhyama Segal is a classical dancer. This talented youngster was born and raised in a dancing family, being around famous dancers is in itself a blessing for those who aspire to make a career in dance. Segal, who is studying History in college, took professional training in the Odissi dance form from her grandmother, Kiran Segal.
Sharing her experience of being trained under her grandmother, she said, “being Kiran Segal’s grandson did not ensure any special treatment at the dance school where I learned the nuances of form from her. He is quite strict as a teacher and that’s how it should be”.
Having grown up in a family where everyone had dabbled in art or another, an interest in dance was natural. After making her own unique identity in dance, she made her acting debut with the Netflix web series Class, an adaptation of the popular Spanish series Elite. Segal grew up watching his mother’s series and now he’s following in her footsteps.
