Madison Beer’s SAVAGE Response To Troll Who Said She’s ‘Getting Fatter’

Singer-songwriter Madison Beer recently took to social media to slam trolls who made disparaging comments about her body.

The 24-year-old artist, known for her hit songs and inspirational messages, responded to the hurtful words with grace, stressing the importance of self-acceptance and promoting body positivity.

In April, Beer detailed his experiences with online hate, suicidal thoughts and self-harm in his memoir Half of it and how he seems to overcome it.

The incident began when a troll, hiding behind anonymity on the internet, posted a comment on one of Beer’s Instagram photos in a white baby doll outfit, stating that she was “getting fat” and should “do cardio.”

The body shy wrote, “Hey Madison, I noticed [your] legs and arms are getting fatter. Please do cardio because we men only like skinny girls. [Your] the face is perfect, but please we like girls with thin waists.”

However, instead of letting the negativity affect her, Beer chose to use her platform to address the issue head-on and fight back against body shaming.

“I will not touch you with a 10 ten foot pole if you pay me a million dollars,” he wrote. Fans also quickly came to the singer’s defense, slamming trolls for trying to shame Beer.

Madison Beer Shares Her Experience With Online Hatred

Earlier in April, Beer released his memoir Half of itdetails his experiences with online hate, the rejection he felt after being dropped by his label and manager, substance abuse and self-harm, and how he seemed to overcome that phase to fall in love with himself again.

“I have so much love around me and I’m so grateful, but in the same way I feel like it’s my responsibility to say, Hey, this is someone who’s been doing this for 10-plus years and I’m still not doing it. immune to hate,” said Beer per Forbes magazine.

“If I had succeeded in my suicide attempt, people would have said, ‘Oh my God we don’t know… that’s terrible.’ But of course, because I’m still alive, that empathy is very lacking.”

The “Reckless” singer noted that she still struggles with social media, “whether it’s body image issues or insecurities and self-doubt like most, if not every 24-year-old girl.” He added, “It’s hard because it’s done so much negativity to my soul, but it is [more recently] brought so many positive things into my life and I was able to reach out and touch people.”

The “Louder Than Words” alum went on to share that she had to take a break from social media because she was in her darkest place but quickly realized that she couldn’t avoid public scrutiny.

“I really want to disappear and be invisible for a while… but I don’t think I can escape the public eye,” he said. “Even when I would leave my house and go outside, when I hurt myself and put on a sweatshirt people notice and they’re like, ‘Why is he wearing a hoodie in 90-degree weather?’ Everything weighed me down negatively and I just felt down about myself and my life.”

Beer’s inspiration at the time was the album he was working on, which he named “Life Support” as a thank you for what was happening in his life.

“I named my album Life Support because it is. It’s the reason I get out of bed in the morning and it gives me a reason to want to live and keep living. Without that reason I don’t know what can and will happen,” he shared.

Madison Beer’s New Album Gets Her Icon’s Approval

Beer recently revealed that he got the stamp of approval on his upcoming album “Silence Between Songs” from one of his idols, Lana del Rey.

follow rolling stone, Beer notes that the album, which will be released in September, has been heavily influenced by the likes of Tame Impala, the Beach Boys, and Del Rey – who he sent some songs for him to cover.

“[Del Rey] said he heard it several times in a row, and I couldn’t believe it,” Beer revealed. “It’s amazing when someone who was once my idol is so supportive and always generous.”

He continued, “He was definitely someone who made me believe in goodness.”
