Madison Pettis opens up about what it’s like to be a child actor. “It’s hard for my fans to grow up with me,” Pettis told Byrdie last year. “I started my acting career with Disney, and as I got older, the projects I did naturally matured over time. I also love that my fans can follow me on social media because it’s a great way for them to get to know me better.”
The former Disney Channel actress explained her motivation throughout the year. “It’s because I never stopped having fun with it,” he said. “Drake has a lyric that says, ‘When I stop having fun with it, I’m done with it.’ When I was a kid, my mom always told me that if acting wasn’t fun anymore, I could quit anytime. I still think of it that way. That thought helped me because it’s a tough business with so much rejection and competition. But every time I’m on set shooting something, I feel so fulfilled. I love working with actors and crew who also love what they’re doing. The set is my happy place.”
But, of course, self-care is key. “Self-care is watching a basketball game, ordering food, and drinking a glass of wine,” Pettis concluded.
