Check out Madonna Coming Out as Gay

Many fans were surprised and supportive of what appeared to be Madonna’s exit at age 64; however, there are many who do not appreciate the “strange bait” at all.

Queer baiting is defined as, “the practice of implying a non-heterosexual relationship or attraction to engage or attract an LGBTQ audience or otherwise generate interest without ever actually depicting such a sexual relationship or interaction,” according to Dictionary.com.

People questioning Madonna’s “coming out” video took to Twitter.

“Madonna, we understand. Being gay is the one thing that makes sense about all the issues that interfere with your career. Still coming out as gay after your career is over and you’re making your mint is not a reality,” wrote one.

Others who weren’t surprised by the big reveal wrote, “the girl we know,” “we know” and “none of you saw the Britney Madonna video & thought she was the same?”
