Looks like Madonna wants to get Britney Spears and her pop star career back on track!
Both the Queen of Pop and the Princess of Pop have been making headlines this month for unexpected reasons. The Queen of Pop suffered a health scare that nearly derailed her festival tour, while Britney’s husband, actor Sam Asghari, filed for divorce on Aug. 16 after 14 months of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The two pop stars have been friends for years and it seems the 65-year-old singer wants to help the 41-year-old pop star get her career back on track… by asking her to join the Festival tour!

The “Toxic” singer has previously stated that she has no desire to tour again after spending decades on stage. However, that may change with an offer from Madonna. A source told Page Six that Madonna is trying to get Britney to perform with her on stage after her divorce.
The two of them have been friends for a long time and even share the same agent. The two were also seen locking lips at Britney’s June 2022 wedding to the “Special Ops: Lioness” cast. Madonna is currently rehearsing for her tour after she was rushed to ICU in NYC earlier this summer.

“Madonna originally wanted Britney to join her on tour this year,” a source told the outlet. “Everything was turned down because of his illness, but he still wanted Britney to join him at the Kia Forum.”
Although she had to reschedule her concert, she wanted Britney to perform for at least one of her Los Angeles tour dates scheduled for March 2024. Their hit song “Me Against the Music” was released in October 2003, and Madonna would have loved it if Britney would have joined her on stage to perform live to celebrate the song’s 20th anniversary.

Twenty years ago, the song marked the viral moment at the MTV Video Music Awards when Madonna shared a kiss with Britney and Christina Aguilera. The two recreated the viral kiss at Britney’s wedding, which took place a few months after her conservatorship ended in November 2021. Britney has not performed in public since her conservatorship ended.
However, fans are holding out hope for new music. On Thursday evening, a source told Page Six that Britney is “focused” on releasing a new album around the same time her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” hits stores on October 24, 2023. “Ideally, she would love to do one record and maybe a song for the book release,” an insider shared, while another noted that “He has an upcoming writer’s camp and got songs from some big artists.”

Fans hope Britney will take the stage again, despite her “trauma” from the tour. “Britney is traumatized by the tour,” an insider told Page Six in May 2023. “For years, she’s been given grueling travel schedules and made to perform — even before becoming a conservator.”
“She still loves to dance and make music,” the source continued. “He has talked about re-recording and has had many offers, some of which he has turned down, but it’s all about timing and choosing the right project. He’s smart like that.” The insider added, “The beauty of Britney being free again is that she gets to record for the first time in a very long time, and she’s going to do it at her own pace.”

Britney has only released two songs since her conservatorship ended in November 2021: “Mind Your Business” with will.i.am and “Hold Me Closer” with Sir Elton John. While fans can’t wait to hear more music from the pop star, it seems Madonna isn’t rushing the “Stronger” singer to return to the stage before she’s ready.
On Saturday, a source told The Sun that Madonna wanted to support Britney through the divorce, no matter what. “Madonna feels very motherly towards Britney. He’s always been her rock behind the scenes and this is no different,” the insider said. “He wants Britney to know she’s not alone and whatever she needs – legal support or otherwise – she’s there to help.”
