The “4 Minutes” singer told the world she’s no longer a vegan, which isn’t good news to some of her followers.
He took to Instagram with a video announcing new plans for his highly-anticipated Festival Tour, which showed him eating chicken with his family in a decorated room.
The reel begins with him telling one of his sons that he can’t kick his chair any harder, prompting him to jokingly respond and defend that he already did. Someone in the background was heard saying “action,” His son stood up from the dining table with his plate, about to leave the room.
Madonna was not happy because he told her to sit while chewing on the chicken which ended up stuck in her throat. Then, he dropped the news that he was going to visit Mexico, causing everyone around the table to scream with joy.
In the caption, the 64-year-old wrote, “Fans have a chance to get tickets today and tomorrow, and Citibex cardholders have access to pre-sale tickets starting Thursday!! Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 21.”
While his trip to Mexico should have been great news, commentators were more concerned about what he ate. Some wondered if she had given up on veganism, while others couldn’t believe their eyes. One wrote, “Please. Go vegan,” before another asked rhetorically, “He’s not vegetarian anymore? Since when?”
A third fan then said, “Go vegan! Animals are living beings. Be on the right side of history, @madonna !! #endspeciesism”
After that, a fourth fan asked, “Isn’t he a vegetarian?” prompting a fellow commenter to reply: “Yes, he’s vegan. I don’t know where Madonna is, but I don’t think this person is Madonna.”
“One would expect a great woman like Madonna to be VEGAN,” commented a sixth follower. “Be vegan, Madonna; a dead animal on a plate does not suit you.”
Another repeated the same question about whether the “Vogue” star was a vegetarian before wondering aloud if she had lied about her macrobiotic diet.
Speaking about the musician’s famous diet, Women’s Health breaks down its origins and everything there is to know. The macrobiotic diet, developed by Japanese philosophers in the early 1990s, emphasizes a holistically balanced lifestyle.
Half of the diet consists of whole grains; one-third consists of fruits and vegetables, and one-quarter includes nuts. It has several benefits thanks to its nutrients that help fight disease, aid metabolism, and encourage individuals to make healthy intake choices.
On the other hand, it may be challenging to enter such a diet because it is “very restrictive” because it eliminates all processed foods and sugars.
