Maksim Chmerkovskiy is loving his latest fatherly role and has all of our attention!
The Ukrainian-American has been over the moon since his wife, Peta Murgatroyd, gave birth to their rainbow son, Rio John, on June 18, which coincided with Father’s Day this year. In her latest social media post, she revealed a photo that beat out several others to become her favorite, and her fans were in awe of her.

Even though it’s been less than a week since he became a father for the second time, we can understand Chmerkovskiy’s excitement. She and Murgatroyd, who had difficulty conceiving again, had several miscarriages before they decided to try IVF last year.
Fortunately, the first round of treatment was successful, and they shared the good news with their fans in January. With the energy both parties displayed during the pregnancy, it quickly became clear that the lovebirds were going to be even better when the baby finally arrived.

And true to form, the new parents have been regularly releasing updates featuring their baby boy on their social media pages. A prime example is Chmerkovskiy’s recent post, which included a photo of the newborn sleeping in his father’s arms while his brother, Shai Aleksander, watched from the side.
While the delighted six-year-old matched his dad’s shirtless top, he covered up his bottom in colorful shorts. He also rested his head on his 43-year-old father’s arm and lightly touched Rio’s body with his right hand.
For his father, the choreographer covered his bottom with a white blanket and covered some of his bare chest with a white blanket with blue and red stripes. Her happiness can be seen as she smiles at the camera and enjoys the moment.

He explained via caption that he’s going to Napa for “Tech Week” at the JaM Cellars Ballroom, which means Shai will be holding down the front of house in his absence.
Chmerkovskiy later claimed that his partner was “crying. Like always,” adding, “Sometimes he cries when I go grocery shopping, so this is a big deal.” “Me: I’m goooooood!
