Death/Murder
On November 23, 2023, Malti Devi was found hanging from a hook on the roof of her in-laws’ residence in Kali Jagadishpur village, Sant Kabir Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh. His body was found by the police and sent for an autopsy at the hospital. Malti’s father filed an FIR against her husband Vishnuraj and three relatives at Mahuli police station. She claimed that Malti was killed by her in-laws because they often harassed her for dowry. He also claimed that Malti’s husband Vishnuraj had an extramarital affair with a woman named Radhika, and when Malti objected to it, he (Vishnuraj) killed her.
Household problems
Before her death, she had a dispute with her husband over dowry and extramarital affairs. In one of her videos, Malti revealed that her husband Vishnuraj used to beat her. On 11 November 2023, she uploaded a video on her channel in which she said that Vishnuraj badmouthed her for having an affair with a man named Arjun. He also talks about ending his life in the video. In another video, she revealed that Vishnuraj and some of his friends conspired and took all her jewelery by tricking her. He also mentioned that Vishnuraj had given him death threats many times.
